Cycling Sports Achievements in Nigeria
Cycling has participated in All African Games winning various awards. Nigeria cycling team has participated in 1994 World Cycling Championship in Sicily (Italy). Nigeria female cycling won a Gold medal each at 2003, 2007 All Africa Games.
Nigeria cycling participated in the African Continental Championship for the first time which was held in Sharm-El-Sheik in Egypt in 2013 and won a Silver medal in the Elite Women Team Time Trial.
Nigeria has now moved from 16th position to 4th position in the team event and from 20th to 6th in the individual ranking in Africa.
One of Nigeria female cycling team named Jacinta Okorie won a Bronze medal in the female category of the 2016 African Games. She also represented Nigeria at the International Cycling competition held in the Bahamas and won a medal for Nigeria.
